Mariam Gujabidze is the Founder and Director at Mediaset Georgia. The consulting company has appeared on the market just a few months ago, in 2022. It actively cooperates with the private sector and international organizations in the directions of tourism and technologies. Mediaset Georgia is involved in the phase of planning and implementing projects, including strategic communication, crisis management, creative marketing and project ambassador service.
“Our team’s strength is in the extended knowledge of the field’s needs and necessities; Also a vast experience and result-oriented management”- mentions Mariam, who really has a considerable experience and covers private sector alongside with public one.
She began her career as a lawyer at the age of 20. Over the years she had tried her luck in a number of medical, insurance and pharmaceutical companies. She has worked as a lawyer and advocate, also she was the Head of the Special Risks Management Department at the insurance company.
After receiving master’s degree in private law, she decided to continue learning the public administration. So she studied at the joint master's program of the German Speyer University of Administrative Sciences and Tbilisi State University.
She has never stopped enlightening and developing herself, she has participated in the number of different exchange programs and trainings. Additionally, she was an intern at UNWTO in 2022 - Mariam is proud to have been chosen between hundreds of candidates.
Prior to that there was one of the biggest tourism campaign - Spend Your Summer in Georgia. With her friends, she was a co-author and organizer of the project, which started in the social networks. It aimed to the promotion of Georgia’s tourism potential and the project reached its goal: Spend Your Summer in Georgia has attracted the attention of the local and foreign media.
“We created the biggest platform about Georgia on the social networks - Spend 4 Seasons in Georgia. It’s already been four years and we continue to promote Georgia’s touristic potential and development of this sphere. With this campaign, we once again have proved how much power women united around one idea have”.
Aside from the consulting company Mediaset Georgia, she started working on new tech startup with her partners. Trippply is the platform which aims travel planning to be convenient, pleasant experience and accessible for everyone.
The tourism creates the new opportunities for women – She believes. Due to the development of the tourism many women gained financial independence, no matter where they live – in the big cities or highland villages, where touristic infrastructure has not developed yet – Mariam reckons.
“It is crucial to empower these women and share experiences with them so that their ideas take the right direction and turn them into businesses or develop them. Women for Tomorrow is the great platform to share knowledge, support and creating new opportunities for these women”- Mariam believes.
