Nino Gadelia is the only woman in Georgia to have founded a company in the field of solar energy. Now in its second year, her company, Shine Energy, provides design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for both businesses and individuals.
“As long as the sun shines, I’m not going anywhere.” These words perfectly capture Nino’s determination and courage—qualities that helped her break into a male-dominated industry and establish herself as a leader.
“At first, being the only woman in this field felt like a challenge, but over time, I realized it gave me unique opportunities. Ultimately, Shine Energy has proven its reliability and professionalism. I am grateful to all the partners who entrusted us with this important and responsible work.”
Nino began her career in renewable energy a few years ago, actively contributing to the development of solar energy projects. After gaining experience, she launched Shine Energy in 2023, and in just a short time, the company has become one of Georgia’s leading EPC firms in the sector.
Currently in her final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Nino believes her legal background is a significant advantage in the industry.
“Solar energy is still in its developmental stage in Georgia, meaning we often have to adapt to new regulations. My legal education helps me navigate these challenges with ease.”
Despite not having a formal education in business or energy, Nino plans to pursue a Master’s degree in the future to strengthen her expertise in both fields.
Though she is new to business, Nino has valuable advice for aspiring entrepreneurs:
“Self-belief is key. Nothing is impossible if you truly want it. Fear is natural—it means you understand the responsibility. But the important thing is to take action anyway. Success requires discipline, endurance, and a genuine love for your work.”
Nino firmly believes that women have the power to drive major change in business, economics, and society with their unique perspectives, innovative ideas, and strong leadership skills.
“Women’s involvement must continue to grow through support and opportunities. Having a supportive environment is crucial—not just in society, but in business as well.”
